BENARAS
Travel, for me, has never been about ticking destinations off a list—it has been about observing, absorbing, and translating lived experiences into visual stories. Over the years, my journeys across Southern India, the mountains of Leh Ladakh, the timeless घाटs of Varanasi, the quiet valleys of Kashmir, the spiritual rhythm of Puri, and the vibrant textures of West Bengal have shaped not just my work, but my way of seeing.
Each place carries its own pace, light, and emotion. In the backwaters of Kerala, time slows down, and the visuals breathe. In Ladakh, the stark landscapes demand restraint and respect for scale. Kashmir offers poetry in every frame, while Varanasi unfolds like an ever-evolving narrative of life, faith, and ritual. These experiences are not just locations—they are layered stories waiting to be interpreted with sensitivity and intent.
My travels have also taken me beyond India, including Thailand, where the interplay of culture, colour, and modernity creates a dynamic visual language. Moving between these diverse environments has allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of context—how people, spaces, and traditions influence the way a story should be told.
As a visual storyteller, I approach travel photography with patience and intuition. It is not about capturing the obvious, but about discovering the in-between moments—the fleeting expressions, the changing light, the unnoticed details that define a place more authentically than any landmark. Whether it is a misty morning in the hills of the South, a bustling street in Varanasi, or a quiet shoreline in Puri, I look for frames that evoke emotion and memory.
Travel has also strengthened my ability to adapt. Working in unpredictable conditions, engaging with different cultures, and responding to changing environments have made my process more instinctive and grounded. This translates into imagery that feels real, immersive, and deeply connected to its surroundings.
This section is a collection of those journeys—moments gathered over time, across geographies, and through experiences that continue to influence my creative perspective. Each image is not just a photograph, but a reflection of a place, a moment, and a way of seeing the world.
